dark day 04:08
{psalm 91} he that abideth in the secret place of the most High he that hideth in the shadow of grace he shall not die he shall not fear for the terror of night for it fieth by day nor shall he fear as the angels take flight to keep thee in thy ways there shall no evil befall thee or come nigh thy home they shall bear thee up in thy hands lest the be dashed against any stone from noisome pestilence or flowers' snare he'll be delivered at noonday if not to find deliverance there dark day, it's a dark day He shall cover thee with His feathers under His wings, shall ye trust thou shalt tread upon lion and adder underfoot, underfoot sew not pestilence in darkness dark day, dark day nor destruction at noonday dark day, it's a dark day

say {la vie} 04:34
sure to expire time runnin' thin keep your serial no. they just might let you in c'est la vie machine immortality heartless efficiency the promise of liberty just cogs in the machine c'est la vie nothing but hopes and dreams to keep us company the better days are behind us they lie, interred, beneath so i look ahead, to another day and what else can i say but "c'est la vie"? fresh outta luck yeah, i'm on the ground and every time i pick myself up they just knock me down c'est la vie drivin' my car set for destination 'cos you better believe they want me in a fatal situation c'est la vie don't hide from me i'm not your enemy on the count of one, two, three... just believe you, me, you'll be set free before you can say "c'est la vie"

o precious child, if you could lend your ear to me the world has turned, at once to something dark and bleak you may grow up alone and spend many nights at home you may find yourself reaching out to something that has gone tears roll down your cheeks that you wipe away, day after day a case of the mondays is what you always blame but i know just how bad you want to run away and play i would reach out with you but there's nothing left, today on the eve of apocalypse from the shroud of providence i am falling through the cracks in the generation gap the walls rise higher, now there must still be an out i know that it exists because when i reach out, i can almost touch it... toiling, forming, fitting in those old pictures are just delusions you're smart enough to know that it's too late now, you missed back when you could roll in the grass and dream far from duress of glowing screens way back when "life" was in and your words had meaning you dry your eyes on the pillow and wonder if you're done you can sit in the window but you'll never really know the sun you reach out from your bedroom but you're reaching where there's none...

i see... darkness billowing o'er the mountains flashes in the distance as the gruesome behemoth makes its way to swallow me fingertips are touching at sparse precipitation as the mistral and the gale surprise my senses reach it... even if it kills you may it take the fear away i am... searching for the answer reaching through the tempest the rumble and the rain joy and pain how can i be expected to seek solace in the rain with no shelter?

confession 06:50
Confession p. 25 (3)

If only someone could have imposed restraint on my disorder. That would have transformed to good purpose the fleeting experiences of beauty in these lowest of things, and afixed limits to indulgence in their charms... ...For You (O LORD) shape the propagation of our mortal race, imposing Your gentle Hand to soften the brambles which You have excluded from Your paradise. Your omnipotence is never far from us, even when we are far from You...
Alternatively, I ought to have paid more vigilant heed to the voice from Your clouds..
"Nevertheless those who are married shall have trouble in the flesh, and I would spare you" (Cor. 7:28) and "He who has no wife thinks on the things of God, how he can please God. But he who is joined in marriage thinks on the affairs of the world, how he can please his wife." (1 Cor. 7:1).
Had I paid careful attention to these sayings, and "become a eunuch for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matt. 19:12), I would have been happier finding fulfillment in your embraces...
But in my misery I seethed...abandoning You. p. 27 (7)
Wretch that I am, do I dare to say that You, my God, were silent, when in truth I ventured, still, further from You?
Was it in this sense that You kept Your silence toward me? Then whose words were they, but Yours?
(Whose words were they, but Yours?)

and so it goes everything they had hoped i would never see is on grand display here, before me it's every thought i hoped to never think every emotion that has pushed me to the brink of collapse is planted here i'm doing what i can to stay afloat but i'm capsized and without a boat and i won't survive the raging riptide so i'll hold my breath and dive under, again hoping against hope that i'll find a friend i find nothing still, something here has found me and i'd do anything at all to do away with this fearful heart but if i try, i just seem to come apart and as a dog i return, again to feel the numbness as it's setting in but every time, i think to myself "just one more sin" it's just that i get a lump, in my throat when i hear your song, now, on the radio it leaves me feeling stranded with no place to go was it all a lie? every time i took solace or pleasure in afternoons or unusual weather it's tainted forever and rest assured, i'm not the only one it's just that i'm the only one i know who's stranded here with no place to go and i'd put my hands before your simple face if i could be, now, where you were, then and i'd implore you "don't do it, again"...

get my kicks, in the afternoon see myself in public t.v. just want to disengage shed the stress of the day 'til somebody tries to call on me somebody says things are too easy i am fading away into obscurity i've taken leave of my senses i've gone pro se i am walking away from that which ails me but i wonder, still just how can it be so easy? it's all too much, in the afternoon need my kicks to ease the pain i'm transformed; an automaton languishing and full of disdain it mars the spirit of my youth dries the garden and hardens the clay when i hate just for the sport of it it's a soul vacuum it's drivin' me crazy! i am fading away into obscurity and now i have no defenses should've never gone pro se so now i'm walking away from that which ails me still, i ask myself is it really that easy?
